THE LABINO HISTORY


Labino AB is a Swedish company that was founded in 1994. In its early years, Labino manufactured only UV lighting. Today, we manufacture both UV and White Light products, and we distribute globally.

In 1994, Philips manufactured a white light source. This white light source contained too much UV-light to suit Philips purposes. Labino took advantage of this opportunity and came up with the idea to maximize the UV output, by optimizing the metal in the light source and by taking away the UV-blocking glass. Philips was able to develop a highly effective and usable UV-light source that they still manufacture to this day. Labino designed and developed the electronics (trigger ballast) that could optimize the output from this light source. Today Labino produces UV-lamps that are among the most powerful on the market.
